About
I'm a part time "small batch" pottery artist located in Southern Pennsylvania. I turned my garage into an in home art studio during the covid shut down and love to spend my time in there most days. I am set up mainly for pottery but I also have always dabbled in other art mediums such as gauche/acrylic painting and jewelry making. My newest medium I learned last year was stained glass which I occasionally sell along with my pottery. When I'm not in my home art space, I'm being a mom, grandma and boss lady tattooer at my tattoo studio located in downtown Greencastle. I’ve been tattooing for 22 years now, but tattooing wasn’t my first love. Most of my childhood memories are of my mother teaching me how to draw. She would draw flawless eyes, noses and lips and I would try my best to copy what she had taught me. I remember vividly making woven pot holders and sewing my own terrible outfits. I was raised around art, my mother was a painter and now a professional goldsmith and my father was a professional photographer and is currently a guitarist in a rock band. So inevitably I couldn’t live my life without arts and crafts. Always needing to create something, for it is my happines and mental therapy. My full time job as a tattooer requires me to create art for other people, which I absolutely love. It is a collaboration between myself and my client. My pottery comes from 100% my imagination and heart, which is so very satisfying.
If you would like to check out some of my work, please follow me on IG @blackbirdpottery.art or my tattoo website www.incognitopa.com. I mainly sell my pieces from my website and I occasionally do small markets. If you stop in my tattoo studio in downtown Greencastle, I also have my pottery wares for sale there as well.
